COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

We want PARKOSi to be enjoyable and safe for everyone. These ground rules are designed to ensure that Users and Hosts have a five star experience when using PARKOSi. Please take a moment to read them because whether you’re a user trying to book a parking slot in a definite location—or a hosts/partner wanting to earn money by providing a parking space that you are the legal owner off —your behaviour matters.

The guidelines below help explain some of the specific kinds of behaviour we encourage on the PARKOSi platform, as well as the behaviours or circumstances that may cause you to lose access to the PARKOSi platform.

Respect each other

Treat your fellow users and hosts as you would like to be treated yourself: with respect. It’s common courtesy not to shout, swear or damage the property. And by tidying up after yourself—whether it’s parking space you are using or a parking space that you are offering for booking—you’ll keep each other’s property in good condition and ensure the next person has a pleasant experience too. Most important of all, remember that when you use PARKOSi you will meet people who may look different or think differently from you. Please respect those differences. We want everyone to feel welcome when they use PARKOSi.

Give some personal space

We all value our personal space and privacy. It’s OK to chat with other people. But please don’t comment on someone’s appearance or ask whether they are single. As a user and/or hosts, don’t touch or flirt with other people. As a reminder, PARKOSi has a no sex rule. That’s no sexual conduct between users and hosts, no matter what.

Safety first

Everyone wants to park their vehicles safely and keep their property safe from any damage or illegal activities. So please ensure that you follow the local law. Check out our safety tips. Both users and hosts have a particular responsibility when it comes to safety at PARKOSi. That means keeping the user car safely, not damage the parking space, not to litter any trash or garbage on the user and/or host property; and never indulge in alcohol or drugs or illegal activities.

Children must be supervised

Only adults can have an PARKOSi account. If your child is using your account, a parent or guardian must be with them at all times.

Public emergencies

PARKOSi may take additional measures to try to preserve the safety of our platform during public emergencies, including but not limited to natural disasters, public health emergencies, and public crisis situations.

For example, if PARKOSi receives notice from a public health authority or Government officials that someone using the PARKOSi platform may present a potential for public harm, we may waitlist the individual’s account until it is reasonably safe to allow the individual to resume using the PARKOSi platform. Similarly, we may prevent individuals in an entire city or region from using part or all of the PARKOSi platform in order to comply with guidance from authorities during a time of public health emergency, natural disaster, or other public crisis situation, or when the continued availability of the PARKOSi platform might present a clear and present danger.

Feedback makes us all better

Whether you are a user or host, please rate your experience at the end of the booking. Honest feedback helps ensure that everyone is accountable for their behaviour. This accountability creates a respectful, safe environment for both users and hosts. And if something happens during a booking—whether it’s a accident or an argument—make sure to report it by tapping “Help” in the app so that our customer support team can follow up.

The guidelines below help explain some of the specific kinds of behaviour that may cause you to lose access to PARKOSi as a user or hosts in India.

WHY USERS CAN LOSE ACCESS TO PARKOSi

This policy helps explain the kinds of behaviour that may lead users to lose access to PARKOSi. Please remember that if you’re a user in a group, or you allow other people to make bookings with your account, you are responsible for their behaviour.

Ensuring a respectful, safe environment for all users

The way you behave while using PARKOSi can have a big impact on the safety and comfort of hosts and/or other users. Courtesy matters. That’s why you are expected to exercise good judgment and behave decently towards each other when using PARKOSi —just as you would in any public place.

Here are some reasons why you could lose access to PARKOSi as a user:

Damaging hosts’ property.

For example, damaging the property, breaking or vandalising on the property, intentionally spilling food or drink, smoking, or vomiting due to excessive alcohol consumption or conducting any illegal activities.

Physical contact with the hosts or other users.

As these Community Guidelines make clear, you shouldn’t touch or flirt with other people. As a reminder, PARKOSi has a no sex rule. That’s no sexual conduct with hosts or fellow users, no matter what. And you should never hit or otherwise hurt a hosts or fellow user.

Use of inappropriate and abusive language or gestures.

For example, asking overly personal questions, using verbal threats, and making comments or gestures that are aggressive, sexual, discriminatory, or disrespectful.

Unwanted contact with the hosts or other fellow users after the completion of the booking over.

For example, texting, calling, or visiting someone in person after a booking has been completed.

Breaking the local law while using PARKOSi.

For example, bringing open containers of alcohol or drugs into the property; consuming alcohol or drugs; large groups that create public nuisance; encouraging or intimidating to break local laws; or using PARKOSi to commit a crime, including drug and human trafficking or the sexual exploitation of children.

User behaviour.

Users may lose access to PARKOSi if they don’t meet the Star Ratings requirements set out in these Community Guidelines.

If we are made aware of these kinds of problematic behaviour, we will contact you so we can investigate them. Depending on the nature of the concern, we may put a hold on your account during our investigation. If the issues raised are serious or a repeat offence, or you refuse to cooperate, you may lose access to PARKOSi. Any behaviour involving violence, sexual misconduct, harassment, discrimination, or illegal activity while using PARKOSi can result in the immediate loss of access to your account. Additionally, when law enforcement is involved, we will cooperate with their investigation in accordance with our Law Enforcement Guidelines.

Terms of Use

As a user, you agree to our Terms of Use when you sign up for your account. We may take action against you for violating these terms, including permanently closing your account. For example the failure to maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date account information, including having an invalid or expired payment method on file; allowing a person who does not meet the minimum age requirement to use your account while unaccompanied, or if you don’t meet that age requirement yourself.

Discrimination

PARKOSi has a zero tolerance policy towards discrimination of any kind. This means you will lose access to your account if you are found to have discriminated against hosts or other users based on their race, caste, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, sex, marital status, gender identity, age or any other characteristic protected under applicable law.

Fraud or Illegitimate Behaviour

Fraudulent or illegitimate behaviour undermines the trust on which PARKOSi is built. We may deactivate any account(s) associated with this type of activity, including: abusing promotions; collusion between hosts and users; disputing charges for fraudulent or illegitimate reasons; or duplicate accounts.

Firearms Ban

PARKOSi prohibits users and hosts from carrying firearms in a vehicle while using our app. You can learn more about our firearms prohibition policy here. If you violate PARKOSi firearms prohibition policy, you may lose access to PARKOSi.

WHY HOSTS’ CAN LOSE ACCESS TO PARKOSi

If you are a host, and your account is temporarily blocked or deactivated, it limits your ability to earn income. That’s why we believe it is important to have clear policies that explain the circumstances in which you may be denied access to PARKOSi; how (if at all) you can use the app again; and if you can appeal these decisions.

There will always be unforeseen events that may ultimately lead to you losing access to your host account — and we’ll update this policy regularly—but the following are sufficient cause for PARKOSi to take action: quality; safety; fraud; and discrimination. [1]

Quality

Customers who use PARKOSi expect their hosts to provide safe and authentic parking space, as well as be courteous and professional. The higher the quality of the service, the more users want to book the parking space, which in turn means more opportunities for hosts to earn money. Poor service has the opposite effect over time.

There are several ways we measure hosts service quality, with the most important being Star Ratings, Cancellation Rate, and Acceptance Rate:

Star Ratings

After every booking is complete, users and hosts are able to rate each other on a scale of one to five stars, as well as give feedback on how was the usage experience. This two-way system holds everyone accountable for their behaviour. Accountability helps create a respectful, safe environment for both users and hosts. Host can see their current rating in the Ratings tab of the PARKOSi Partner app.

How is my rating as a host calculated? Your rating is based on an average of the number of post-booking stars users gave you (from 1 to 5 stars), up to your last 500 rated confirmed booking or the total number of rated bookings you’ve accepted, if less than 500.

The easiest way to keep your average rating high is to provide good service on every booking. But we know that sometimes everything doesn’t go well—that’s why we only look at your average rating over your most recent 500 bookings (or your total rated booking count, if under 500). This gives you the chance to improve over time.

What leads to you losing access to your account? There is a minimum average rating in each city. This is because there are cultural differences in the way people in different cities rate each other. We will alert you over time if your rating is approaching this limit, and you’ll also get information about quality improvement courses that may help you improve. However, if your average rating still falls below the minimum after multiple notifications, you will lose access to your account.

Cancellation Rate

Host cancellation is when you accept a booking request and then cancel the booking. Cancellations create a poor user experience and negatively affect other hosts. We understand that there may be times when something comes up and you have to cancel an accepted booking. But minimizing cancellations is critical for the reliability of the system.

How is my cancellation rate calculated? Your cancellation rate is based on the number of bookings cancelled out of the total number of bookings you accept. (For example, if you’ve accepted 100 bookings and 4 of them are cancelled, your cancellation rate would be 4%.) High-quality hosts typically have a cancellation rate lower than 5%.

What leads to you losing access to your account? Each city has a maximum cancellation rate, based on the average cancellation rate of host in that area. We will alert you multiple times if your cancellation rate is much higher or if you are consistently cancelling more often than other hosts in your city, after which you may be logged out of the app. If your cancellation rate continues to exceed the maximum limit, you may lose access to your account.

Acceptance Rates

High acceptance rates are a critical part of reliable, high-quality service. We understand that there may be times when something comes up and you may not accept a booking. But maximizing acceptance is critical for the reliability of the system.

Consistently accepting booking requests helps maximize earnings for hosts and keeps the system running smoothly. We know that sometimes things come up that prevent you from accepting every booking request, or you may want to take a break. But not accepting dispatches causes delays and degrades the reliability of the system. If you don’t want to accept bookings, just log off.

If you consistently decline booking requests, we will assume you do not want to accept more bookings and you may be logged out of the app for a period of time. This helps ensure that hosts who are online are ready to accept bookings. That protects the quality of the system as users are matched with available parking space as efficiently as possible.

Safety

PARKOSi uses technology to keep hosts and users safe, for instance through GPS-tracking every booking and allowing users and/or hosts experience their bookings in real time. This is all backed up by a robust system of pre-screenings of users and/or hosts. We also have a dedicated incident response team on call 24/7 to investigate safety incidents.

Actions that threaten the safety of hosts and users will be investigated and, if confirmed, lead to permanent deactivation of your account. For example:

Physical contact with users. As these community guidelines make clear, you shouldn’t touch or flirt with other people. As a reminder, PARKOSi has a no sex rule. That’s no sexual conduct with users and/or hosts, no matter what. And you should never hit or otherwise hurt a user and/or hosts.

Use of inappropriate and abusive language or gestures. For example, asking overly personal questions, using verbal threats, and making comments or gestures that are aggressive, sexual, discriminatory, or disrespectful.

Unwanted contact with users and/or hosts after a booking is over. For example, texting, calling, or visiting someone in person after a booking has been completed.

Breaking the local law while using PARKOSi. For example, using PARKOSi to commit a crime, including drug and human trafficking or the sexual exploitation of children.

What leads to you losing access to your account? If we are made aware of these kinds of problematic behaviour, we will contact you so we can investigate them. Depending on the nature of the concern, we may put a hold on your account during our investigation. If the issues raised are serious or a repeat offense, or you refuse to cooperate, you may lose access to PARKOSi. Any behaviour involving violence, sexual misconduct, harassment, discrimination, or illegal activity while using PARKOSi can result in the immediate loss of your account. PARKOSi will also deactivate the account of any hosts who receives several or serious complaints while using the PARKOSi app. Additionally, when law enforcement is involved, we will cooperate with their investigation in accordance with our Law Enforcement Guidelines.

Zero Tolerance for Drugs and Alcohol

PARKOSi does not tolerate the use of drugs or alcohol by partners while using the PARKOSi.

What leads to you losing access to your account? The account of any hosts found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while using the PARKOSi app will be permanently deactivated. PARKOSi may also deactivate the account of any hosts who receives several unconfirmed complaints of drug or alcohol use.

Compliance with the Law

We expect hosts using the PARKOSi app to act in compliance with all relevant central, state, and local laws at all times. This includes meeting the regulatory requirements in your area.

What leads to you losing access to your account? PARKOSi may permanently deactivate your account for activities such as: engaging in serious illegal activity while using the PARKOSi app.

Firearms Ban

PARKOSi prohibits users and hots from carrying firearms in a vehicle while using our app. You can learn more about our firearms prohibition policy here. [1] If you violate PARKOSi firearms prohibition policy, you may lose access to PARKOSi.

Background Checks

All users wanting to use the PARKOSi app are required to undergo a screening process, like validity of the parking space and background checks, to ensure safety and compliance with our criteria.

What leads to you losing access to your account? We will permanently deactivate your account if a routine background check uncovers a violation of PARKOSi safety standards or of other criteria required by local regulators.

Unacceptable Activities

To maintain the transparency and safety for all users, activities conducted outside of PARKOSi system—like anonymous parking slot booking engagement—are prohibited.

What leads to you losing access to your account? We will take action against a host for activities such as: harming the business or brand, like unauthorized use of PARKOSi trademark or intellectual property, or otherwise violating the user agreement with PARKOSi; and soliciting payment of fares outside the PARKOSi system.

Fraud

Fraudulent activity undermines the trust on which PARKOSi is built. That’s why we are constantly on the lookout for fraud by users and hosts who are gaming our systems.

What leads to you losing access to your account? We will deactivate any account or accounts associated with fraudulent activity, which may include: providing wrong information; providing parking space owned by different person than the host; accepting booking request without the intention to complete, including provoking users to cancel; creating dummy user or hosts accounts for fraudulent purposes; claiming fraudulent fees or charges, like false cleaning fees; and intentionally accepting or completing fraudulent or falsified booking requests.

Accurate Personal Information

The PARKOSi app is designed to give users identifying information about hosts and their parking space, like their name, profile picture, parking space details, before the booking begins. Inaccurate or outdated information creates confusion among users and can diminish their experience with PARKOSi.

What leads to you losing access to your account? We will deactivate your account for activities such as: providing PARKOSi with inaccurate information; allowing someone else to use your account; and taking a booking request using an unapproved parking space.

In addition, we will take action to prevent any host whose required documentation becomes invalid — from going online until the host provides PARKOSi with updated information.

Discrimination

PARKOSi mission is to connect users to reliable parking space, everywhere for everyone. We have a zero tolerance policy towards discrimination of any kind at PARKOSi.

What leads to you losing access to your account? It is unacceptable to refuse to provide services based on where someone is coming from, or characteristics like a person’s race, caste, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, sex, marital status, gender identity, age or any other characteristic protected under relevant central, state or local law. Actions like these will result in permanent deactivation of your account.

We want to help increase options for users with disabilities. That’s why we have information available for hosts on this topic. See here for more on PARKOSi commitment to accessibility. We expect hosts using the PARKOSi app to comply with all relevant state, central, and local laws governing the users with disabilities.

Anti-discrimination policies

Every parking space request a user makes is automatically matched to a nearby parking space available by the PARKOSi app, reducing opportunities for unlawful discrimination to interfere with the process of securing reliable, affordable transportation.

COOKIE POLICY (GLOBAL)

We and our affiliates, third-parties, and other partners use cookies and other identification technologies on our websites, mobile applications, email communications, advertisements, and other online services (collectively, the ‘Services’) for a number of purposes, including: authenticating users, remembering user preferences and settings, determining the popularity of content, delivering and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, analyzing site traffic and trends, and generally understanding the online behaviors and interests of people who interact with our Services. You can read more here about the types of cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can exercise your choices.

Cookies and Related Technologies Overview

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your browser or device by websites, apps, online media, and advertisements that are used to remember your browser or device during and across website visits. We also utilize other technologies that may identify you or the devices you use. For example, ‘pixel tags’ (also called beacons) are small blocks of code installed on (or called by) a webpage, app, or advertisement which can retrieve certain information about your device and browser, including, for example: device type, operating system, browser type and version, website visited, time of visit, referring website, IP address, advertising identifiers, and other similar information, including the small text file (the cookie) that uniquely identifies the device. Pixels provide the means by which third-parties can set and read browser cookies from a domain that they do not themselves operate and collect information about visitors to that domain, typically with the permission of the domain owner. ‘Local storage’ refers generally to other places on a browser or device where information can be stored by websites, ads, or third-parties (such as HTML5 local storage and browser cache). ‘Software Development Kits’ (also called SDKs) function like pixels and cookies, but operate in the mobile app context where pixels and cookies cannot always function. The primary app developer can install pieces of code (the SDK) from partners in the app, and thereby allow the partner to collect certain information about user interaction with the app and information about the user device and network information.

Advertising Synchronization & Relevancy

In order to facilitate the most relevant ads possible, Company works with various service providers who assist us in delivering similar ads to end users across devices and platforms. For example, we work with social media advertising services to provide you with relevant ads based on your PARKOSi activity through their media channels. We may also use service providers to provide you with a similar ad on a mobile website or mobile application as with a traditional website ad. See below for more information on your choices to limit these types of advertising.

Your Choices

You have the right to choose whether or not to accept cookies. However, they are an important part of how our Services work, so you should be aware that if you choose to refuse or remove cookies, this could affect the availability and functionality of the Services.

Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies. To do so, please follow the instructions provided by your browser which are usually located within the ‘Help’ or ‘Preferences’ menu. Some third-parties also provide the ability to refuse their cookies directly by clicking on an opt-out link, and we have indicated where this is possible in the table below.

How star ratings work

The PARKOSi platform features a 2-way rating system: users and hosts give each other ratings based on their booking experience. Your host rating is an average of the last 500 ratings from your users.

The basics of ratings

After each completion of booking, users and hosts have the opportunity to rate each other from 1 to 5 stars, based on their experience. Ratings are anonymous. You won’t see individual ratings tied to a particular booking or person.

How to give, get, and check ratings
  • • After a complete booking, the app gives you and your hosts each the opportunity to provide a rating.
  • • If you or your hosts chooses lower than 5 stars, the app may ask for a bit more feedback about why that rating was chosen.
  • • Users also have the option to choose from a set of compliments that apply to you or your parking slot together.
  • • The app adds the ratings you get into an average that’s displayed to your users before and during a booking. Your average rating is an average of the last 500 ratings you’ve received.
  • • You can see your ratings, feedback, and compliments in your hosts business app. Tap the menu icon, then your profile photo, and then tap the average rating under your name for details.
  • • Providing a rating fosters mutual respect between users and hosts. This strengthens our community and help everyone get the most from PARKOSi. We appreciate your participation.

BE A 5 STAR User

PARKOSi considers these 2 areas when rating a user and/or hosts:
  • • Courtesy – How both user and hosts treats each other and the others property.
  • • Safety – Both users and hosts want to make sure everyone is safe, and shouldn’t feel pressured to break any laws.

Frequently asked questions

• Where do I find my average rating, feedback, and compliments?

Your rating details can all be found in your profile, which you can locate by tapping the menu icon of the app, then tapping your picture.

• What if a user gives a low rating for something that’s out of my control?

If a user gave you a low rating because of the price, or other issues that you couldn’t help, that rating is removed from your average.

• Do cancelled or unaccepted booking requests affect my rating?

No, you won’t receive star ratings for any cancelled or unaccepted booking requests.

Protect your safety while PARKOSi

From helping make sure you get the right parking space to knowing where you’re looking for a parking space and when to call for assistance, these tips, created in collaboration with law enforcement, can help make every booking a safe one.

PARKOSi safety tips

To help keep you safe, we screen hosts and build our technology with safety in mind. But there are also actions that you can take to help keep yourself safe. These tips were created in collaboration with law enforcement to help you stay safe while using PARKOSi.

1. Request your booking from the PARKOSi app.

Minimize the time that you’re standing outside by yourself with your phone in your hand. Instead, book a parking space using the app that shows available parking space at your desired destination.

2. Check Your Booking

Every time you make a booking with PARKOSi, please make sure you’re getting into the right parking space with the right hosts by scanning the QR code generated after the booking what’s provided in your app. PARKOSi parking space can only be requested through the app, so never get in a parking space where the QR code generated doesn’t match after scanning in your app.

3. Protect your personal information

Always protect your personal information and do not engage in any conversation that would by any means give away your personal information. We at PARKOSi always protect your personal information. For more details visit our Privacy Policy here.

4. Follow your intuition

Trust your instincts and use your best judgment when requesting a parking space with PARKOSi. If you ever feel that you’re in an urgent situation, you can call the local authorities by using the Emergency Button located in your app. Anytime you call emergency services from the PARKOSi app, the app provides you with your real-time location and booking details that you can share with the government officials.

And remember, if you feel unsafe you can end the booking at any time.

5. Be kind and respectful

As outlined in PARKOSi Community Guidelines, please respect fellow users and your host.

6. Give feedback about your experience

After each booking completion, you’re asked in the app to rate your experience. Your feedback helps keep PARKOSi safe and enjoyable for everyone. If you ever experience a safety issue on a booking request, please report it to PARKOSi. Our 24/7 response team will follow up.

And remember, anytime you call emergency services from the PARKOSi app, whenever you need it.
